One widely discussed topic is the way in which countless blogs and social network sites flooding cyberspace are drowning the seriousness and reliability of true journalism. Millions of members and subscribers to these unreliable sources are accepting the views they provide as fact; they have become pick-or-discard sources according to reader's perspectives. This sounds great for, not only readers can choose their pick but they can also participate on the discussions; anyone can be a provider of…

Whoa, long time no write! I did not realize it had been that long. It is not a matter of I don't want to write, it is a matter of material. A matter of what I write about in the near past is very painful and difficult to put into words. One day, I will relate all to all.
For now, nice warm day, no work today. What to do? Not too sure what my goals are for the day. Number one goal, wake up, done. Number two, drink coffee, done. Man, I am moving through this list fast. Oh yeah, three, take a show…

Leading the humans on a merry chase!
Once upon a midnight dreary, Kina came home weak and weary. Ahh, what a jog.
Fun..fun..humans chasing dog is a blast. I can read and now I can write. The wonders of
paws and high technology.
Well, I got up this morning, really had to pee. Got the humans up and moving. I fell back
asleep, unsure of the time of our excursion. I can never tell when we are going or going to
sit a bit. I didn't want to waste valuable sleep time, so I dozed off. The next thing I kn…

As we go through our day to day lives, sometimes we take the days for granted, worry not this not a "protect the precious moments, savor each day" speech. This is just a brief note, on how things can change your whole schedule. A routine has been established, go to work, do errands, replenish our energies with food and sleep, a bit of fun before off to work again.
This seems mundane. I am very aware and long for those days again. I have not had a "routine day" since the first part of July. It is…

This is one of those, impromptu writings. I have been very remiss in my writings and wanted to get something down, to keep the juices flowing. There have been a few things that have happened in my life that have made me not want to write. I want to write now, just not my thoughts or feelings on those events. So I am taking a detour around them. Reflecting on my life, just what is on my mind.
Moments are on my mind. A minute is a measure of time, a general term. If someone says, "Wait a minute",…

Well, it has been a few days since I have written. Each day, I thought about things to write. I had a humongous list of things to write about. Here I am now, saying to myself, what am I going to write about?
How about my week, since it has been about that long since I have written.
I worked. That is what I do to keep a roof over mine and the dog' heads. The work I do is different than anything I have ever done in my life.
My work history is varied. I have worked at a grocery store, been in the A…

If I have one wish in this life, it's that books - in their physical form - never become outdated. Don't get me wrong here. I think that there is definitely a niche and a market for online stories. I have partaken in such things myself, writing short stories that are only available online. However, nothing really beats going down to my local bookstore (or ordering online) a brand new…

Again the question of fairness, a very old topic indeed, have found its way into our lives more than usual as it is the case every time we come face to face with a major development supposedly altering the expected monotony of our lives one way or the other. Together with this question we hear the blabber of some who obviously can't even interpret the meaning of what they read themselves for lack of necessary instruction or mental capacity, trying to serve as an authority to give us advice on su…

A poet is merely a lightning rod,
For passing through him the words of God!
He opens up his mind, receives,
Then passes on the message, grieves!
The words erupt from deep within him
That God has stored before, verbatim.
Line upon line of schemes, ideas,
When left to man, left man in tears.
Words left in trust at the Creation
Mankind would waste in dissipation.
Before, when Adam walked with Eve
In Eden's den of make-believe
Were knowledge trees and friendly serpents
As God composed the Ten…

It's so sad how we don't think about getting to hold someone one more time until it's too late. We don't think about how much we love someone, or how important that person is to us, until they are no longer here.
We take things for granted too often in our lives. Our spouse will always be with us. Our children are always there. Friends, parents, siblings? Of course we love them all. But how often do we tell them? How often do we lose someone and think, "I wish I had told them how much I care"?…

Is it unfair for a man with a gun to take money from someone without a gun? If it is then why do you support your government using their guns to take money from one person to give to another? Is it because you think you will get in on the loot?

Who is your neighbor?
He is the invisible person who is in danger of being harmed by someone near them or by the institutions around them. Who are these people? The child who is in danger of being aborted. The sick or elderly person in danger of being starved. Or the unborn infant who is in danger of being the subject of a medical experiment.

A series of serious events has unfolded and given me cause to take action. I had to make a terrible decision that tore out a piece of me and the rest of the issues are doing considerable damage in impact.
I am seriously, grievously and even spiritually injured. And the nightmare is only beginning. I have no one to turn to now but God. Yes, part of that is my own fault, but I strongly feel I had no choice. I cannot explain that at this time.
What I can say is that, for now, it has to be just my…

When I hit a bump in the road with my own novel, I started writing little odd essay type bits. Note: this bump was mainly due to strong pain killers for a horribly tearful excruciating painful abscessed tooth. I started organizing these writings into what I later titled "Meaningless Ramblings of a Madwoman." In my drug induced state (and later, my insane state) I thought this grouping of writings would be the next best seller once I got it cleaned up and self-published.
Then I actually thought…
