Normal is as normal dose.
I tell you this only because,
the normal has ran away.
It took flyght at brake of day.
It didn't even put its toys away.
So if you see normal tell it I'm mad.
Because it was not just a little bit bad.
But don't come back because I'll be sad,
that everythings boring again.

This is a poem I wrote in sociology class. The assignment was to write a short poem with every line begin with I am and describe who you are. I was having a hard time with it and thin all of a sudden this came out. It wasn't exactly the assignment but it gets the point across.

THE DARK

Can you hear in the darkness?

Those far off chiming bells, telling

us the way home.
"Come to me my children and be

safe and warm."

Can you see in the darkness?

Those mountains in the night,

showing us are self's.

"Look at me and be strong, fear not,

for we are always hear."

Do you fear the darkness?

Look into it and be comforted.

For it will call you and you shall

fell its embrace and live forever.

The ravine is flying around my head.

Singing its mournful song that brakes

my hart into a thousand pieces.

Its tears wash away the pain.

I reach out and grab it, refusing to let go.

Slowly it starts flying again, caring me along.

It is well into the night now and still we fly.

The wind is blowing past us singing in our ears

but for now that is all we need.
