Thank you for this piece, James. Personally, I hate Thanksgiving Day. This is the day one of my brothers took his own life. I honestly can't remember the exact date, I just remember it being Thanksgiving morning. Now, having just lost yet another ...

I think the whole point of the endless rambling is that most people, if forced to listen to this psycho babble, would convert simply to shut them up. Unfortunately many have not figured out yet that when the babble makes its way to a computer scre...

I admit that I, too, am uncertain of where I stand. But, I do understand and agree with Blind's analogy of the school yard bully. That said, I believe that whether for or against sending our men and women to fight, we should all give them respect....

You know, I think you just explained to me why Twilight hit it so big. I hadn't made the connection between what I wrote, and all the excited stupidity going on around me the past few days. I've been complaining all day about all the New Moon hype...

This is an EXTREMELY insightful look into human motivation, and I applaud you. I can see how you can take the human need to suck the life force from others (which is true, we ALL have it) to creating actual vampiric creatures which do this literal...

Blind, thank you for the summary. We all know which way this fight is heading (evident by who is in whose corner - a statement which is not an invitation to "I have God in my corner" please), so please, take a break from the refereeing and enjoy t...

Two Rules

The darkness is more sweeping than creeping in this time, overwhelming me. I try to claw my way out, my finger nails ripping, the knuckles scraped and bruised. But there is no escape. There is no way out of this sudden doom swallowing me. I trusted you, once. I believed you would help me, hold me, keep me from this dark place. My trust and faith went against every promise I made so many years ago - promises you've now reminded me why I made.

Never trust and never cry. Never trust and never cry… Continue

Excerpt from 13 Flights

A recent conversation with a friend regarding vampires has prompted me to post this excerpt from 13 Flights, one of my upcoming books. This particular piece was actually written a few years ago. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the insanity of it...

For so many years I have wanted to have someone embrace my insanity - just one person to not dismiss what I am as being simple insanity or a seeking for attention. Attention. Hmm, such an interesting possibility. May that's what this is all about. Mayb… Continue

Who Allowed You to Change?

I have this friend...

Funny how we start something off with those words when the story indeed involves the speaker. However, I truly do have this friend and I leave it up to you to determine if this is concerning him, her, or yourself.

Facebook - this wonderful social networking tool ninety percent of the computer world is a part of - can be a very handy little device for finding lost friends and family. It's only after finding them that one realizes there was quite probably a reason they were… Continue

To hold you one last time...

It's so sad how we don't think about getting to hold someone one more time until it's too late. We don't think about how much we love someone, or how important that person is to us, until they are no longer here.

We take things for granted too often in our lives. Our spouse will always be with us. Our children are always there. Friends, parents, siblings? Of course we love them all. But how often do we tell them? How often do we lose someone and think, "I wish I had told them how much I care"?… Continue

So Easy a Caveman Can Do It?

When I hit a bump in the road with my own novel, I started writing little odd essay type bits. Note: this bump was mainly due to strong pain killers for a horribly tearful excruciating painful abscessed tooth. I started organizing these writings into what I later titled "Meaningless Ramblings of a Madwoman." In my drug induced state (and later, my insane state) I thought this grouping of writings would be the next best seller once I got it cleaned up and self-published.

Then I actually thought… Continue

Hey Rianna - Thanks for the welcome note. :-)
I'm hoping to get some time to explore more of this site.

Love your black & white photo, by the way. Nicely done.
