Sir Markus, my favorite knight (by the way, what is wrong with your iThingy?) - thank you, and as I've always insisted, it isn't bravery. It's weakness that brings me to write what I write. Doville - I absolutely love your point of view, and in y...

I hate to say this - but I'm at a loss for words. I really liked this piece and I think that there are two kinds of people in the world...Those who agree with it and those who deny that they agree with it.

You always put your soul on paper and seemingly invite the world to have a look. I've always admired that about you greatly. You're far braver than I.

It's so sad how we don't think about getting to hold someone one more time until it's too late. We don't think about how much we love someone, or how important that person is to us, until they are no longer here. We take things for granted too of...

I sometimes feel as if we have all fallen into that dark crevice, and the walls are closing in. I feel it in myself, my community, my world. We struggle and fight to keep our sanity in a world where sanity ceases to have a place. No one cares, not...

I absolutely love Stephen King stories. However, I do agree the story gets lost in detail. Anne Rice novels, I feel, contain way too much detail and history as well. It's as if people just throw in more words to meet preferred (or required) word c...

Agreed, your point is well taken. How ever I continue to state that the opinion of a great book or a piece of crap lies with the reader. Whether it is publish by a professional publishing service or self published. Again it boils down to individua...

To hold you one last time...

It's so sad how we don't think about getting to hold someone one more time until it's too late. We don't think about how much we love someone, or how important that person is to us, until they are no longer here.

We take things for granted too often in our lives. Our spouse will always be with us. Our children are always there. Friends, parents, siblings? Of course we love them all. But how often do we tell them? How often do we lose someone and think, "I wish I had told them how much I care"?… Continue

So Easy a Caveman Can Do It?

When I hit a bump in the road with my own novel, I started writing little odd essay type bits. Note: this bump was mainly due to strong pain killers for a horribly tearful excruciating painful abscessed tooth. I started organizing these writings into what I later titled "Meaningless Ramblings of a Madwoman." In my drug induced state (and later, my insane state) I thought this grouping of writings would be the next best seller once I got it cleaned up and self-published.

Then I actually thought… Continue

Tired

Have you ever been plain and simply tired? Tired of writing because it always comes out whiny? Tired of whining over things you have no control over? Tired of having no control? So tired you want so desperately to scream or hide. Or both.

I'm not certain how effective doing both would be, though. Have you ever tried hiding from someone while screaming? It generally doesn't work all too well. Of course, I have a special room in my mind where I do my screaming. No one hears. No one except the oth… Continue

God Works in Mysterious Ways?

It is actually a bit of a paradox. Or perhaps more ironic in nature. Several youngsters at a religious retreat have suffered carbon monoxide poisoning. This poisoning was so bad that five of the youth had to be sent to a hospital six hours away and placed in a hyperbaric chamber. Several others exposed showed signs of illness (nausea, headaches, fainting, etc.). The levels of carbon monoxide had reached 379 parts per million near the door of the main level. Three hours exposed to 400 parts per m… Continue

I Write what I Feel

I write what I feel, and feel without thinking. In other words, I don't think before I speak or act. It's quite amazing how many problems this can cause. I've always had this problem. Except for love. I always put a lot of thought into the words "I love you" before speaking them - so much thought, in fact, that I often found it easier to not say or feel such a thing.

Love is perhaps the most evil of all emotions. Everyone seems to think its such a wondrous thing; a warm, fuzzy emotion. No. Love… Continue

Hey Rianna - Thanks for the welcome note. :-)
I'm hoping to get some time to explore more of this site.

Love your black & white photo, by the way. Nicely done.
