Hello To "The Box"

Who Am I?
I am he who peeks timidly from around the corner, he who lurks harmlessly in the darkness; who fades with the dawn only to return once again at sunset. A lost cavern, buried with the ages of forgotten lore and all of the riches, much fine gold and glistering silver, and the vast expanses of knowledge and verse having ceased with me. I am the narrow and straight path having been slowly bent and broken with the withering heights of a lonely life, a minion in the bitter dregs of rambling, babbling promises unfulfilled. I am in the wind and in the rain, each delicate little droplet crashing and shattering violently against an equally delicate bud of rose, the arid and foot-scorching sand, wind blown cyclones of memory lost. I am the precious little time we all have in this life, going unredeemed, and the bastian of no hope, all for the sorrow of he who is lost.

Wide
Spaces
Right beside
My life’s traces
Walking them today
Fields of gold earthen grain
I finally got away
Today my life holds no more pain
A surreal blossom of sunshine
My blue sky, long-stemmed roses and red whine

Receding

Slash
Cut me
And I crash
Need to shut me
Recede from within
A narrow edge so thin
Upon which I walk each day
Crumpled leaves in the autumn breeze
Beneath a blue sky turning to gray
It is only this life from which I flee

Burying The Live

Oh that girl has rocks in her head
A lascivious little tart, she’d be better off dead
These thoughts and others in our minds we derive
And it’s all part of Burying the Live

That old boy is about dumb as can be
Certainly not as brilliant as you and me
Oh the accusations we all can contrive
Just another way we’re Burying the Live

From hits to hits and misses to misses
All the misleading speech and the flattering kisses
Yeah, point your finger and remember to revive
All the ways we’re Burying the… Continue

June, I'm just in 'awe' of your "Who Am I" piece on your profile. It's such a creative way to introduce yourself. Until I read further through your piece, at first I thought you might be "Cat" (of the greatest literary kind of course).

I hope you're enjoying The Box community, and I look forward to catching more of your works soon. Best wishes...
