I have a booksigning on the 19th. What a good excuse to get a new outfit and have my hair and nails done. Plus I bought new ink pens and lots of chocolate. I think I'm all set. I'd love it if you would tell me about some of your booksigning events...

I write fiction and non-fiction for both children and adults, I like to mix genres. And I play around with poetry. I published mostly short humorous essays about living in Alaska until this year when my novel, THE COVE was published. It is a quirky, romantic fantasy with a little mystery thrown in, aimed at young adults.

What a good excuse to go shopping

I have a booksigning on the 19th. What a good excuse to get a new outfit and have my hair and nails done. Plus I bought new ink pens and lots of chocolate. I think I'm all set. I'd love it if you would tell me about some of your booksigning events--what went well, what didn't. I must say, I prefer writing in my bed, but I am trying to transform into an social butterfly as fast as I can.

I have never been a dog person, but living on the homestead in interior Alaska makes having a dog team very practical: They always start up on a cold winter morning, they rarely get stuck and best of al… Continue

Hi Donna!
Nice to meet you. To answer your question, I have been at fanstory for a few years now and I like it quite a bit. I have won a few hundred dollars in the contests, which is nice, and get some good feedback and edit suggestions. I have not done much with the others I listed, but plan to in 2009.

Aloha. Received your email from my site. Thank you so much for going there to see a bit of it. Pretty extensive, eh?

I knew Bill Varnes. He lived in Mesa, AZ in the early 1970s. When I dated him, he had custody of his 4 year old daughter. I wrote a poem about her: Ode to a Little Girl.

Since he's in AZ, he might be your kin?

Aloha. The name of Varnes is not that widely seen. I used to date a fellow in Arizona with that last name.
