For my funeral, I'd want anyone attending to suffer through "Casey Jones" by The Grateful Dead. (A personal favorite song of mine, actually). Why? Almost solely for the line: Driving that train, high on cocaine.
When was the e-mail sent out? I don't think I got it. But much like everyone else here, I've been kinda slidin'on TWB lately (so maybe I'm just that behind).
I sort of agree. But like James said, this is what we grew up with and know. However -- I do agree moreso now that Disney has acquired the rights to Marvel Comics than I used to.
Okay. James has some really interestin' ideas here. I'd be willin' to participate.
Oh: And I also joined your Facebook fanpage, and I recommended it to a few people.

I'm game. But ya'know, I have never considered self-publishing...as I have zero funds at the moment and zero completed work. Could be a way to go if I ever get my act together.

WHO AM I?
That seems a simple enough question to answer. I am...Cary. I'm a writer, like so many others here. And I'm an avid reader, which seems to be something I only rediscovered a few years ago.
My dream job is to write comic books. And, in my weaker moments, I've unsuccessfully submitted to...MAD Magazine. But thanks to a lack of artistic talent on my part, my outlets are very limited.
What, you may be asking yourself, does this Cary fellow do other than writing? Well...not much else. I'm a sports fan...I enjoy baseball and some football. I collect shot glasses, among other things. I wear a lot of hats, but I'm not balding...yet. I'm a homebody (there really isn't much to do where I live anyhow). I love Star Wars. And, uhm...I suppose I'm into the usual stuff.

ANGEL: A SONNET
So iced and cold this woeful winter morn;
This slate of earth beneath trembles and quakes.
This humbled man before you, lying torn,
When great stone monuments yield to the shake.
The earth, gone, overtaken by a mist.
The place known as yesteryear demolished.
All the worlds, in rocky shards, lie adrift.
Tell me, where may I seek some great solace?
A vice, it tightens around beating hearts,

Have you been to Disney's Hollywood Studios in Disneyland? I have some pictures of the Star Wars stuff I will have to dig up and show you. The ride I remember was kind of lame. They have Star Wars weekends this summer which look really awesome but I have too many other things going on, doubt I could go.
