World Fantasy Convention 2008

I'm back for the World Fantasy Convention in Calgary. It was great fun mixing with all those authors, editors, publishers, and fellow readers. I gave away over 20 copies of Blood Oranges Zine, attended panels on of such different topics as Best Short Fiction of 2008 to the Evolution of the Vampire Hunter. This is the second World Fantasy Con I've attended and I would recommend going to any interested in writing speculative fiction.

Blood Oranges Zine

Hello everyone –

You may well remember that I was here this summer talking about my print zine, well after a few months of reorganization it looks like we’ve found some new momentum. We’ve even been reviewed in Zine World # 26. We’ve thrown of the idea of themed issues, we’ve set a new deadline, and we’ve revised the submission guidelines. Do you write fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, or speculative fiction? Here’s your chance. We need about 10 pieces plus some filler art.
