Yes, fictional memoirs are another form of fiction writing, which I would love to try. Let us know how well you do, what problems you come across in the writing.

As long as you realize memoirs are YOUR real memories you can write them any way you wish.

Memoirs are nonfiction. The moment you fictionalize them, even in short snippits, you produce a fiction short story.

In essense you are not writing a memoir of your wife. You are writng a Biography.

Memoirs are things we write about our own life, to leave behind when we kick off.

I'm going to try and write fictional memoirs like Nicholas Sparks and James Patterson. Wish me luck since I am a short story writer and journalist unused to lengths of more than 2000 words.
