If you have a flash story you'd like people to read, you copy and paste it on the site. However, if it is not here on TWB or your own site, you must get permission. In other words, you must submit your story - but only when the site calls for submissions. Then you send your story and they either accept or reject. If they accept, they post it.

Flash lengths depend on who is asking for the story and they will set the number of words they allow.

Usually a story is called a flash piece if it is under 1,000 words. Some places a far fewer. Anything over a thousand, up to 7,000 is a short story. Over that to 50,000 is a novella. Beyond that is a novel.

Dumb me wants to know, what's TWB. It's amazing how all these author sites have a different navigation. John Miller

I know you're just getting started on all these sites, so don't feel dumb, not for a moment. TWB is the initials name of The Writer's Box, this site. If you want to upload a story here, simply copy and paste it into your Blog. Or you can type it in right there in your blog.

All these sites have a different navigation route but once you understand one, any one, most of the rest are easy. Take your time and click on this button or that and see where it takes you. You can always use your "Back" button to get to a previous page. Click around. Experiment. It's fun and gets things done real fast.
